About Pursuit Physical Therapy

Pursuit Physical Therapy is structured to remove the most common barriers to care.

  • No insurance restrictions

  • No delays in care

  • No visit limits or strict scheduling policies

  • No rushed appointments or double booking

  • No divided attention

  • No handoffs to support staff

Pursuit Physical Therapy operates outside of the confines of traditional PT practices. Care is delivered, in your home, to your office, out in the community, on the field of play, or in the gym.

Appointments are available within 24 hours. Every session is entirely one-on-one, focused, and tailored to your goals. As a concierge provider, our relationship isn’t limited to scheduled appointments — I’m an ongoing resource to answer questions, adjust your program, and support your progress between sessions.

About Mike McNeil

I’m Mike McNeil, Doctor of Physical Therapy and founder of Pursuit Physical Therapy. I provide in-home physical therapy, performance training, and fitness coaching for active adults and athletes throughout Greater Philadelphia.

After working as a physical therapist for 8 years, I started Pursuit PT in 2023 because I found the traditional model of care failed to help many of my patients achieve their goals. Too often, conversations were rushed. Attention was divided due to overlapping appointments. Patients missed their appointments due to time constraints or transportation issues. Care was denied or cut short by insurance providers. I had so much more that I wanted to give these patients.

Pursuit Physical Therapy gives the opportunity to be thorough. Comprehensive evaluations. In depth-conversations. Undivided attention. Care built around your lifestyle. Start when you want. Stop when you want. Pick it back up when you like. Through this model, I can be a resource for the long-term.

Personally, I enjoy a mixed training routine, including trail running in the Wissahickon, biking along the Schuylkill Trail and Kelly Drive, weightlifting, cross training, surfing at the Jersey shore, and playing team sports. I thoroughly enjoy reading the latest research on optimizing health, fitness, and performance training. As a native of Philadelphia, I am a major fan of the Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles.

My approach to Physical Therapy

Most practices focus on utilizing the time you spend inside the clinic with “corrective” exercises or stretching and massage techniques that only provide temporary relief.

I focus on what happens outside of the clinic.

Real progress doesn’t come from one or two hours per week — it comes from how you move, train, recover, and live the other 166 hours. My goal is to optimize your daily routine, help you achieve meaningful short-term wins, and build sustainable habits that support your long-term pursuit of health and performance.

My approach emphasizes:

  • People over profits

  • Progress over perfection

  • Education over dependency

  • Capabilities over disabilities

  • Long-term results over temporary fixes

Rather than focusing on diagnoses or deficits, I work with each client to identify their strengths, assess their starting point, clarify their goals, and collaboratively develop a plan to make meaningful progress toward those goals. This approach typically results in fewer appointments and longer lasting results.

How a Mobile Practice Works

Pursuit Physical Therapy offers mobile treatment and training delivered to your home and local community. During each session, your physical therapist brings a treatment table and any equipment necessary to complete a comprehensive exercise-based intervention program. To supplement the sessions, the therapist also brings weights, resistance bands, sporting equipment, and a variety of tools for agility, balance, strength, and mobility training. Programs are developed based on the equipment and space available in your home, to ensure that each plan is replicable outside of scheduled appointments.

By working directly in your home, office, gym, or community, I’m able to design care around:

Your Lifestyle

Your plan should fit into your schedule — not disrupt it.
I build habits and routines that are realistic and repeatable, ensuring that progress continues long after our sessions end. Instead of adjusting your lifestyle to create new habits, seamlessly integrating the two increases the likelihood that those habits will be sustainable.

Movement Patterns

The way we perform in a clinic isn’t always the way we move in the real world.
In-home care allows us to assess and improve movement patterns in the exact environments where they matter most.

Your Environment

If your plan and your rehab is dependent on the space and equipment available in the clinic, how long can we expect results to last? By designing a routine based on your environment, the results can last for as long as you maintain the healthy habits that brought them about.
